Cordoba patios
When Cordobans celebrate the annual Courtyard Festival and Contest, the beautiful courtyards of their homes are open to the public. Many house owners in Cordoba’s traditional neighbourhoods join
the contest and open their doors. So everyone has the chance to get insights in architectural treasures that are typical for Cordoba – the so-called Patios. During the festival, people are welcome to enjoy courtyards of incomparable beauty, packed with trees and flowers, fountains and accessories.
Ronda romantica

Gibraltar Trips
Monthly Visits to Gibraltar
Visible from a distance of more than 100 miles, the Rock of Gibraltar has attracted visitors and conquerors since the dawn of time, impressed by its strategic location between two continents and at the junction of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, its imposing appearance and, of course, its subtropical climate.
Today Gibraltar is an important tourist destination to tour, visit caves and tunnels, see Barbary Apes roaming freely on the Upper Rock, or join a dolphin watching trip.
Our trip arrives at the border of Gibraltar at approximately 10.30 am. We park at Morrisons Superstore making this a popular shopping trip. In the afternoon we depart at 16.00 pm for the return to Nerja.
If you’re planning to tour there’s time for a good look around. If you’re there for the shopping, there’s plenty of room to stow your purchases in the hold of the bus – but remember you will have to carry them home with you from your drop off point that night.
On Leaving Gibraltar you will be required to get off the coach and walk through customs with all your goods and belongings; nothing must be left on the coach. If necessary it can be useful to take a trolley or suitcase if you plan to do a lot of shopping
NB: YOU MUST BRING YOUR PASSPORT WITH YOU TO ENTER GIBRALTAR

Sierra Nevada Ski Resort Day Trip
Wednesday 23rd January 2019
Experience Sierra Nevada – Spain’s highest ski station and Europe’s most southern,
With its high elevation the amazing Sierra Nevada ski station also boasts the longest ski season and offers skiing just 100 miles from the Costa Tropical though we doubt there’ll be swimming weather the day of our trip.
We’re all about the snow so we’ll be heading directly to the ski resort village, Pradollano, once we leave Nerja. The village stretches up a hill, starting at about 2,100 m above sea level, and is home to a large number of shops including boutiques for ski and apres-ski wear, sales and rental of ski equipment, souvenir shops and a small supermarket. Plus of course a variety of restaurants, cafés and bars to enjoy a warming cup, tapas or meal.
The ski resort summit is at just below 3,400m and about halfway up (at 2,675 m) is the mid-station, Borreguiles, which is served by two cable cars that run from the bottom of the village.
We do recommend taking the gondola up to the mid-station where you’ll find a few typical ski-slope cafés and restaurants and a great area (weather permitting) to sit at tables in the snow and watch the skiers come and go.
If you do want to take a run or two yourself please remember to allow time for ski hire and return if needed, and plan appropriately for the weather and the return trip.
